The importance of hair                                                   

 

As an element of beauty, appearance, and fashion, hair has always been extremely
important.
Depending on the country, the time and the society, hare has had different roles,
even going so far as showing our acceptance of a certain lifestyle, or are opposition
to it.
But above all, hair reveals our physical and psychological state. When this are below
par, it is reflected in our hair in the form of problems which can even result in hair loss.
Strong, beautiful, shiny hair shows a state of balance and good health.
Caring for our hair denotes a dynamic desire to be at our best. It also shows
that we feel confident in ourselves and our bodies. Caring for our hair is always of
preserving its accential beauty.

Is daily care necessary ?

Of course.
Each person has his our her own habits depending on the type of hair.
But modern stressful life and pollution mean we require more careful end regular
treatments adapted according to hair type.

The hair`s life-cycle

Hair is born, lives and dies. This regular cycle which is constantly renewed is called
the "pilary" cycle. It consists of three phases:

  1. The growth phase (anagen) which lasts from 2 - 7 years. 85% of our hair is in the
    anagen phase.
  2. The resting phase (catagen) which lasts 2 - 3 weeks. 1 % of our hair is in the
    catagen phase.
  3. The loss phase (telogen) which lasts 3 months. 14% of our hair is in the
    telogen phase.
                       Pilary cycle

Each strand of hair which dies and falls out is systemarically replased by a new one.
This pilary cycle is repeated 20 - 25 times in a lifetime.
