As with all the Lufia games there have been some problems with the release of Lufia 3. The development of Lufia 3 began in early 1998 and everything seemed to be coming along smoothly. But, in May Nihon-Flex, the game's Japanese publisher, went bankrupt. This makes the Japanese release of Lufia 3 questionable and the American very questionable. But, the American publishers, Natsume, haven't gone bankrupt, so in theory they can translate and release in Usa without any Japanese version. This is however very unlikely because I think that Natsume want to see the reactions of Lufia 3 in Japan first, so they can make sure that the game will sell much in Usa.
