Q: What does UNCURBED stands for? A: The Uncurbed family stands always for chaos, friendship, hard boozing, peace & freedom, hope and understanding. We are not involved in any active actions or political stuff... Q: When and who started the UNCURBED? A: The trip started in the autumn 1990 by Johan, Micke and Conny as a project band. Then we became a complete band 1992 with 6 members. Since then we have kept the flag of punk high and had some member changes through the years. Q: The current line-up? A: TB - vocals, Steffe Pettersson - vocals, Conny Enström - guitar, Kenneth Wiklund - leadguitar, Jimmy Lind - bass and Johan Jansson - drums. Q: When will the fu**ing Ackord För Frihet be released? A: Believe it or not, the long awaited 8 track Ep is out NOW by Sound Pollution/USA released as an MCD! (Jan 2003) Yellow Dog/Germany will release it as a 10" spring 2003. Q: And why have it taken so damn long time? A: From the beginning it was meant to be released by Retribution Rec(UK) in connection with our tour in England '99. Nothings happened because they don't have the money to release it. Then the years have goes by and we did a brand new cover and make a deal with the actual labels above instead. Better to late than never... Q: How many tours have Uncurbed done? A: We have done 5 tours so far. Three in Germany, one in the UK and the last in Germany/Belgium/Holland. The first German-tour was '93 with Disfear, then summer '96 with Ebola & Autoritär and winter '96 with Society Gang Rape. In the UK it was autumn '99 with Scalplock. The last one spring 2000 with various bands. Q: When will Uncurbed come to USA or to my country for a tour? A: Hopefully as soon as possible. First we/you must find someone who can set up a tour and who can pay our flight tickets if it's needed, Then we're talking... Q: Why did Jens leave The Uncurbed? A: He was done in the family and he have lost his inspiration and want to do other things in life. He don't know if he will continue with the music anymore. That's sad, because he is still a great vocalist and a great partymember! Q: Why did Nico leave The Uncurbed? A: Since he moved to Stockholm autumn 2000 he had harder to come up for rehearsals because of his job. Much overtime and deadlines etc... So he decided to leave the family and leave his place to Kenneth. We really lost an great partymember and a leadguitarist. Q: Are there someone in Uncurbed who is playing in other bands? A: Johan - vocals in Centinex, guitar in Dellamorte and Interment where he also sings. Steffe - vox in Diskonto/Sportlov. Jimmy - bass/vox in Crossing Chaos. Then Jimmy and Johan have a crust-project called Spritvev. + diffrent booze projects... Q: What are the lyrics about? A: The lyrics are mostly about TB's own life, expressions and experiences. The lyrics are also about when Uncurbed is out on the road and meet all the friendly/godly people on the squats, peace & freedom, fellowship and boozing of course! Q: Which are the largest musical influences of the band? A: Well, it's hundreds of bands but some of them are: Totalitär, Crass, Cockney Rejects, Uk-Subs, Missbrukarna, GBH, Asocial, Svart Parad, Sham 69, Motorhead, Poison Idea etc... Q: Who has been in the Uncurbed family? A: Henrik Lindberg (Vocals: 1992-1994). Micke Gunnarsson (Bass: 1990-1999), Kenneth Wiklund (Bass: 1999-2000), Jens Törnroos (Vocals: 1992-2002), Nico Knudsen (Leadguitar: 1992-2002) and Jari Juho (Tour Manager: 1993-1996). Q: Which recordlabel have Uncurbed? A: Uncurbed has been signed to Sound Pollution/USA since 1998. Their former labels were Lost & Found/Germany 93-94 and then Finn-Records/Sweden 95-97. A: Since the "Keeps The Banner High" Robert Holmqvist have make all the art direction for Uncurbed. Johan have done some art for compilations and Ep's. Q: Where can I find Uncurbed releases online? A: Try these distributors: Mordam Records, Sound Pollution USA/Sweden. You can also find our releases through many others. Just search on the internet and you'll find many webstores that have Uncurbed stuff. In Sweden, try: CDON, Sound Pollution, Ginza, Hotstuff etc... Q: I'm doing a compilation, can you be on it? A: Sure. If you don't mind already released material, you can generally use some of our songs on your comp and send us a couple copies when it's out.
