The Past Story 2002 - 1990 2002 Our seventh masterpiece "Punks On Parole" was released by Sound Pollution/USA on the 11th January, great reviews from everywhere. Uncurbed did a great show at UFFA in Trondheim, Norway. Jelle did his last show on our release-party together with Centinex on the 13th April. We found a replacement for Jens, Steffe from the other Swedish Punkelites DISKONTO joined. He impressed with his intense vocals and make his first shows in the summer. One of them was with the legendary Dead Kennedys in our hometown... Uncurbed recorded 8 songs for two Ep's in October. They will be out in spring 2003. 2001 We entered the ABYSS studio again 4 days in February, to record our 7th masterpiece "Punks On Parole" with Peter's brother Tommy Tägtgren. 16 anarcho/peace/freedom songs was recorded with lots of help of hard liquer and beer. It felts good for us all to be back in the ABYSS again, and the end-result was excellent as usual... The Dark Funeral guys(who was recording the "Diabolis Internum" in Peter's studio) tried to beat us in drinking with a wimpy result, ha! Cheers thy brothers of black! After the recording we took a rest. In the end of May, Jelle and TB decided to split-up the band, but the rest of Uncurbed still wanted to keep the flag high. After a while TB joined us again but sadly Jelle stands clear to quiting the band. So we haven't figure out how we shall do with the 2nd vocals. Either will TB sing the whole shit or then we have to look for a new vocalist who can handle Jelles vox. It will be very hard to find someone like him... Just because of this we cancelled two gigs in Finland in the end of July. Puntala-Rock/Tampere & Helsinki, we're very sorry for all of you who wanted to see us there. I hope we will be back in the near future. 2000 We updated our website in February. Our new CD/LP "Keeps The Banner High" was released in March. The 10"inch "Ackord För Frihet" wasn't released this year either... T.B did an own Uncurbed website. The "Punx On Parole 2000" tour in Germany, Belgium and Netherlands was done in April/May, with a hell of a party and great gigs as usual. Thanx to Sven, Lien and all others who was involved! Sadly after the tour, Kenneth decided to leave the family. So Jimmy Lind from CROSSING CHAOS started to crushing the bass. Then we recorded 4 songs in BLACK LOUNGE for two compilations: "Against Your System"/Versus Prod.(F) and Really Fast vol.11(SWE). We also take part on a local comp-CD, Workingclass Radio/Fastfeet Records(SWE) with 2 songs from "Ackord För Frihet". We did some local gigs around with: Driller Killer, Diskonto, F.D.M., Dellamorte, Crossing Chaos. We would like to thanx Lina, for her great birthday party at Fellini/Uppsala, that we had the honour to crush the stage with Diskonto! 1999 In January, the 6th CD/LP "Keeps The Banner High" was recorded in SOUNDLAB STUDIO. After that, Micke who have been with us from the beginning, leaves the band. So we found a new bassplayer, Kenneth Wiklund, who joined us in March. Then we recorded 8 songs for a 10"inch that Pete Giles at RETRIBUTION REC.(UK) was supposed to release in the autumn same year. The title was "Ackord För Frihet" and means "Chords for freedom". All the lyrics are on Swedish. We have some few gigs in Sweden and in September we were out on a UK-Tour that Pete did for us. TB couldn't join us on the tour because of personal reasons, so Jimmy Lind from CROSSING CHAOS slit his throat instead. It was a very great tour and we have very good response and many new good friends. Thanx Pete, and all the others we met! Without you we haven't make it. A specially hail to our driver Duane for have being patient with the drunk swedes... 1998 This year was a very lazy year for Uncurbed. Only 2 gigs and no new stuff. The only good thing was that the long awaited "Peace.Love.Punk.Life...And Other Stories" came out on our new label SOUND POLLUTION. We have got very good response and reviews for the PLPL album and that's great. Thanx Ken! 1997 In April we entered the Abyss studio again and did the greatest and the best punkrecord we ever have made. The title was "Peace.Love.Punk.Life...And Other Stories" and in the same time FINN-Rec. got some moneyproblems. Sadly for us and them, but our saviour, Ken at SOUND POLLUTION (USA), bought the recording from the finnish guys in the end of the year. We appeared on the festival "Bollnäspunken" with very good response. It was a hell of a party in the "Black Hand Inn" caravan... 1996 In January we decided to change studio. From UNISOUND into the ABYSS with Peter Tägtgren behind the gears. The "Punk & Anger" was then recorded with 16 songs and included one cover with ASOCIAL's "Frige alla fångar". A split-EP with S.G.R. was recorded in Q-LTURHUSET in August. 4 songs each, and it was released by our friend Sven Godhes at YELLOW DOG RECORDS in Germany. 1000 copies was made and was sold out after a couple of months... We did 2 German tours this year. One in June and one with S.G.R. in December. Thanx again Sven! 1995 After some shit talk with the L&F, we left them for FINN-Records. On FINN-Records we released our third CD with 14 brutal songs under the name, "A Nightmare In Daylight" recorded again in UNISOUND. Some gigs was made in Sweden with Chaos UK, English Dogs, S.G.R. etc We also played on the festival "Dalarocken". About 300 people showed up and it was great as fuck! 1994 L&F released our second CD "Mental Disorder" and it was also recorded in UNISOUND with Dan Swanö. The MCD included 9 songs with our first 4-beat song, "No more to say". In October, Henrik leaves the band after the gig with Varukers and the punkrebel T.B.(ASOCIAL) joined Uncurbed instead. 1993 After some detours the demo landed on the LOST & FOUND in Germany and they were interested in a CD release. Five new songs was recorded to fill upp the CD. The title was "The Strike Of Mankind". In the meantime a tour in Germany with Disfear was under construction, and Lost & Found released a limited 7"inch with Uncurbed & Disfear specially for the tour. Anyway, we have a great time with the Disfear guys in Germany and the gigs went out very well...rai, rai. 1992 This year we picked up Henrik Lindberg and Jens Törnroos on vocals. Also a second guitarist, Nico Knudsen, was found. A 11 song demo was recorded in UNISOUND by Dan Swanö some days in November. We send it to some record labels with hopes to get a deal... 1991 We appeared on a local compilation demo "Avesta Mangel" with 4 songs of grindcore, including a Napalm Death cover. It was recorded in STUDIO FRAGG one day in June. Other bands was Asocial, Entrails and Uncanny. 1990 Uncurbed was formed, and then with only 3 members: Conny Enström, Micke Gunnarsson and Johan Jansson. The influences was bands like Napalm Death and other grind/hc bands. Some gigs were made in the neighbourhood with various singers. After a while the style changed more and more into bands like E.N.T, Doom, Raw Noise & Discharge. |
