17 February 2004
Greetings from the gutter! Ok, since there haven't been that many updates on this page lately we feel that it's time to tell what our plans for 2004 are: Right now we are writing and rehearsing material for our new album "Welcome to Anarchy City" which will be recorded in Abyss in late April. So far we have written, but not rehearsed, most of the 16 songs that will appear on the album. Some titles are: "The Gutter Romance", "You Talk About Life", "Trousers And Junk", "The Whore Needs More", "The Beggar And The Blanket", etc. Speaking of new records, our split-EP with Autoritär is out now on Rescued From Life Records (USA). Right now we only have a limited number of copies, but order it anyway (40 SEK/ 6 $/ 5 Euro). The songs on the split is from the same recording as our "Rise & Shine" EP that will be released this spring by Devil's Whorehouse Records (Germany). Plans concerning gigs 2004 is as follows: March 5:th we will play at the Punkfestival 7 in Umeå, March 20:th we will play at Fellini in Uppsala. In October we will embark on our first American tour, details are not worked out yet but basically this is what's gonna happen: The tour starts in New York in late October and the we do 20-25 more shows in the US. On the first half of the trip we will tour together with World Burns To Death and on the second half with Star Strangled Bastards. The whole tour will be set up by Jack Control (Severed Head of State, WB2D, etc.). Furthermore, we have plans on doing a small tour in Germany together with Meanwhile that Yellow Dog Records will set up. However, nothing is decided yet. Apart from this we will of course also do some gigs in Sweden and, hopefully, Norway and/or Finland but right now the only thing that is confirmed is Punkfest 7, Umeå March 5:th and at Fellini, Uppsala March 20:th. Be there! |

14 January 2003
As you can see, the Uncurbed website is updated with a new design. Some new photos and links can be found. The label who will release the split Ep with Autoritär is Rescued From Life Records. Things have happened since December. Once again we have lost a great familymember, Nico, who have been with us since almost the beginning. He decided to leave the family in December 2002 after 10 years of servant. We quickly found an replacement, Kenneth Wiklund (Centinex, Asocial etc) who played bass with us between 1999-2000. He appears on the "Ackord För Frihet" Ep. We have already rehearse with him without any problems. Welcome to the family... Finally the "Ackord För Frihet" Ep is released. You can pre-order it from us, Sound Pollution or Mordam Records. A short review of the "Ackord För Frihet" Ep by Ken 8 new tracks from Sweden's masters of punishing HC punk packaged in a beautiful digi-pack. Originally recorded in 1999 to be released by Retribution Records to coincide with their 2000 tour of England, now 3+ years later Chords For Freedom sees the light of day! UNCURBED have been at it since 1990 and there has never been a band as consistent at delivering kick ass punk rock. Ken Pollute - Jan '03 |
