Symphony X - My favorite band right now. I heard this progressive band for the first time in may 1998,

it was a friend of mine that told me that he had heard a group called Symphony X and that they sounded alot like old Dream Theater.

Later when I listened to the album "The divine wings of tragedy" a was really amazed.

The album is around 65 minutes long and the songs ranges from short and fast "Out of the ashes" 3.37 minutes

to long and epic "The divine wings of tragedy" at 20.37. This album is a must for all those who listens to progressive and power metal.

Later I have bought their newest release called "Twilight in olympus". This is also an very good record

but not as good as their previous release. It is not as heavy and the record is shorter but the style of the music is the same.

The have recorded 4 albums but I havenīt heard the first one but the other 3 albums are superb.

This is another of my favorites. I started listen to Stratovarius when they released their fourth album called "The fourth dimension"

Sounds alot like Helloween but with alot more classical parts with keyboards and fast guitar/keyboard solos.

Their latest 4 albums is amazing and I strongly recommend them.

This band have made high class metal for over ten years now and they are still the kings of the fantasy metal genre.

They mix helloween like metal with tolkien inspired lyrics and great choirs.

They have 7 albums out and all of them are great but my favorite is "Imaginations from the other side" from 1995.

This was the album that maked me listen to Blind Guardian and after that i havent stopped playing it.
