Network Marketing What is it?

Network Marketing is an efficient way to distribute products fromt the prducer to the consumer. Companies spend extremely large sums of money to market their products through advertising and distribution to retailers. Network marketing eliminate these costs by laying the burden of advertising on individuals through word of mouth. Since the agents provide the consumer with a direct source for products, wholesalers are eliminated also which means that the savings in costs the company receives is passed on to te consumer through lower prices. This also means commisions for those who are involved as agents for other companies.

Tactics of Network Marketing companies

When it comes to Network Marketing companies, they all have several things in common.

They all emphasize the high income potential.

They emphasize the ease of which you can participate.

They emphasize the principle of others making money for you.

They emphasize the incredible products that they have.

They emphasize the size of the markets and growth.

They emphasize the inexpensive upp front costs.

...and most importantly, HYPE!!!

Pitfalls and Drawbacks

After the HYPE feeling dies down, the individuals who signed up to be agents find out very quickly that the company and the product and the ease is not what it was cracked up to be. Most of us who have dabbled in Network Marketing have experienced this. These drawbacks include the following:

THE PRODUCT- Companies that emphasize mostly the pay plan and the ease of getting in, usually hold a low profile on what they are selling. This is because the product is either poor in quality or, most likely, that the product only appeals to a certain target group.

TIME FACTOR- This is probably the most neglected issue in Network Marketing, because no one especially the company wants to admit that their appeal is limited in that when they can only expand their agent and customer base so far until the market becomes saturated.*will discuss later

FINANCIAL OBLIGATION is greater then at first appeared because of the lack of emphasis. Or even worse-(Stringing the agent along for more cash-Meaning that the company offers to enhance the agents chances at income by giving them special tools and packages that of course cost a "little" extra

Requirements suddenly become extremely difficult. Usually the company spends most of its time keying on the (Wonderful revolutionary) product they have. The ability for most to acheive the levels of success claimed by the company require 24 hour dedication, which most who already have a job cannot give, and those that are unemployed and need income, cannot afford the cost of running their own business.

Support- Many companies sign you up and then it is sink or swim. There is literally no support network. They have already got your money, and they know that you will at least try to get it back by recruiting others to at least break even. Those that you recruit will do the same. The company continues to reap the rewards while disgruntled agents continue the viscious cycle. The issue of support has however improved greatly in recent years, as serious Network Marketing companies realize the financial positives in maintaining a happy crew.

Many companies require that if you do become financially successfull in their organization, that you must commit to them meaning that you cannot participate in any other Network Marketing company regardless of wether the products do not compete with each other. This means that if you decide to join another company, you will not be allowed to continue to receive commissions on what you have earned through the company that you were currently working with.

Lazyman disease- There are companies and company reps that promote the idea that you don't have to do anything other then sign up and pay the fee. After that, they will do it all for you. (Getting rich quick) means getting cheated fast, but those that expect others to work for them while they sit back deserve to be parted from their money. This unfortunately is extremely easy to recruit with.

Why get into Network Marketing?

Now that you are aware of the drawbacks of Network Marketing, one would asked themselves, why get involved? This is a question that I wish everyone who has ever been burned by a Network Marketing company asks themselves. There are several excellent reasons to participate, but the bottom line is MONEY!!

In spite of the fact that there are a lot of difficulties with network marketing, there is still the heaviest factor, that there is an incredible amount of Money to be made in this area.

Of course this requires you to understand first of all, what you are getting yourself into, and secondly an understanding of specific factors that are not emphasized by agents or representatives of Network Marketing companies.

We at Freedom Group realize that for anyone to make money in Network Marketing, one has to first identify certain key issues. These issues are product,time and support.

Product Regardless of what type of system a Network company uses, one can never get away from the importance of product. Did you realize that only 10% of the population in industrialized nations uses vitamins and other health products? Yet companies that promote these products make billions of dollars every year on sales through Network Marketing. Of course if you were to examine the source of these billions of dollars, it would be interesting to see how much of that sales volume is forced upon agents through required qualifications etc. Your prospects are limited if the product isnÕt something that has a wide consumer base.

Time This is extremely important when getting involved in Network Marketing. This is important in 2 ways. Firstly, all and I mean ALL Network Marketing companies go through what is known as a dynamic growth phase. This usually occurs anywhere from a year to 2 years after company is started. Those that have been fortunate to have come in contact with the company before this period, are the ones that you see featured on the advertisements for the company since they are literally raking in the cash. The optimum situation is to have entered a company in its first six months, so you can participate in the initial dynamic growth phase. This is important in that this is where you are able to generate your greatest income potential. When this growth phase is over, the cycle continues in a plateau where it eventually begins to dip downward. The company through new products or services etc recreate a growth cycle, but it will never be as dynamic as the initial. So time is important when getting in the door. Time is important for another reason. Amway is probably the largest Network Marketing company in the world. They are grossing billions of dollars every year themselves. Although the company has been around since the 1950´s, there are still agents who are new to the company that are making tremendous amounts of money. How is this possible? One simple factor. They have sacrificed time. Many of them will not admit this, but it is obvious in that they are spending up to 120 hours a week pedling Amway goods and recruiting others to do the same. It is their life. While this might work for a single individual who may not havew any other obligations other then to himself, try living this way with a family to worry about. We feel that working hard means at everything you do, not at only one thing you do.

Support When getting involved with a Network Marketing company wether you are new to the business or a veteran, you always need support, especially when just starting. There are many ways that this support can take place. As long as it is consistant and it keys on education of those in your organization and also help in recruitment for those in your organization, then it is effective.

Freedom Group has found a product that has an extremely wide customer base. CDs and CD roms are products that appeal to anyone who know how to operate a cd player. Cassette tapes are going the way of vinyls, and it is just a matter of time before they are gone. This means that if people want to buy an album of their favorite artist, they will have to buy a CD. With computers taking over the communications market, CDroms will be an integral part of the future develpment in media. Imagine going to the video store to rent the latest movie, and instead of receiving a cassette you receive a laser disk to put into your multi all in one unit that you have at home. You know the one that is your TV, telephone, fax, computer, internet station, etc. This is the future, and the boom i this product area has just begun.

The company claims that their dynamic growth phase globally will last five to six years, but we at Freedom Group are only willing to believe a time frame of 3 years. Remember, Network Marketing likes to HYPE things to get people to sign up, we prefer to inform you instead.

This opportunity will generate a high income for those of you who are willing to work hard at it(no free rides). BUT REMEMBER THAT YOUR INCOME WILL MAX OUT AND AFTER THE DYNAMIC PHASE ENDS, IT WILL BEGIN TO DIP. Of course This company will make adaptations for their agents to provide further opportunities to generate income, but the dynamic possibilities are gone. You will still be bringing in income, and for many of you it still will be a great income.

What Freedom Group will have done during the latter stages of the dynamic phase of this company, is to have found another company that has the same criteria that CD Express has now, so that we can flush our organization with this new opportunity, thus in a way recreate the dynamic growth phase. This doesnÕt mean that you will be giving up CD Express, but you will be complimenting it with something else.
