Summary
There is a big need for lifting tools which makes it easier to work alone. The tools that exists today are usually not easy to work with or it takes long time to make a lift with it. Thatīs why they are not used for the "small" lifts. The body power is used instead, which causes injuries in the long run.
The research and interviews that are made with usergroups, confirms my idea, that there is a market for a new lifting tool which is easy and more flexible than what we have today. A liftingtool which also makes it possible to work easy on your own. The new tool ought to be that simple and easy to use that you acctually will use it.
The result of this project is a new tool that I named Lift It.
Lift It will be used where you should have used a spit, crowbar, jack or a combination of these. It is a simple tool that are easy to use for prizing and lifting.
A big advantage is that Lift It can be locked in the position you desire during a lift. Because of the locking system you can let it go if you eg. want to chock up, or put something under. You will get both of your hand free to work with and you donīt need help to hold. The foot of the tool protects the floor during the lift.
The telescopic handle makes it almost twice as long as in its normal state. Thanks to the locking system and the telescopic handle, very heavy lifts can be made on your own.
Lift it could be a tool that saves time, money and backs. A tool that every serviceman, carpenter and truckdriver can have near by. A tool worth bringing!
